When you stop at our Post Home you may notice our new Parking Lot. This project was able to be completed with the help of the New York State Veteran's Administration. The VA made
$5 million available to all veteran's post for use in any capital improvement.
Thanks to Darryl Cady who started the application process in November of 2022 with a completion date of June 21, 2024. We had to provide all information on our project, as well as our purpose and mission as an American Legion Post. Many other documents were needed or had to be developed and uploaded to the DASNY application website. Gary Hults obtained estimates and worked with vendors to get the project completed. Our previous BOD President, Ray Seward, also provided guidance and necessary authorizations. Our current acting BOD President, Fred Amacher has been a great help in completing our requisition process. The entire project cost was $84,000, with $75,000 coming from the VA, and the remaining $9,000 from Legion reserves. This will make our Post Home a great parking space for our members and guests. Thanks to all that helped.
